Cheeky Wipes! – washable baby wipes kit.

First Impressions:

My first impression of the system was it looked simple to use and fairly straight forward to set up. The only negative aspect was that the wipes needed to soak in 2.5 cm of water; this was not marked on the container and meant that I needed to get out the tape measure!    4/5

Usage:

The wipes were virtually ready to use straight away. The lavender oil they were soaked in gave them a very pleasant smell, excellent for dealing with unpleasant tasks.

The containers were kept close to hand on the changing station. I found I needed to use less of the Cheeky Wipes to clean a mucky bum then I do regular wipes, as they are slightly larger and more importantly they absorb better. At first I was not sure about having mucky wipes floating around in the other container, but once I got used to it, it was ok. The mucky container was fragranced with a lemon essential oil, so never had an unpleasant smell.

The Cheeky Wipe kit came with two waterproof bags, one for clean wipes and one for mucky ones. This meant that when I was changing nappies whilst out, it was very easy to use.   5/5

Cleaning:

The system came with a bag to put the dirty wipes into so that they could be washed.  The down side was you had to get the mucky wipes out of the water solution that they were soaking in; this was best done over the sink. I found that once the wipes were in the cleaning bag, it needed to be wrung out so as the water did not drip everywhere.

It is recommended that they are washed at 60 degrees, which is not exactly environmentally friendly, but it does mean that the wipes come out clean and ready to use again.  4/5

Overall:

I found the Cheeky Wipes very easy to use. They are also great for cleaning faces and hands after meals. I will continue to use the Cheeky Wipe system, the only problem is,  converting my husband!
